National Institute of Intellectual Property
Today, Kazpatent Director Sabit Akhmetov and Bakhyt Abishev, Chairman of the Public Association “Association for Promoting the Development of Legal Regulation of Artificial Intelligence Pravion QZ,” signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
During the meeting, the parties discussed one of the key challenges of our time: the rapid development of artificial intelligence and the need to develop timely legal approaches to emerging technologies.
The Memorandum will serve as a foundation for joint work on AI and intellectual property, the development of legal expertise, and the discussion of relevant international practices.
This cooperation is particularly important in the context of the global discussion on these issues. On November 9–10, 2026, the first WIPO Global Forum on Intellectual Property and Artificial Intelligence will take place in Geneva, focusing on key legal and policy issues surrounding the development of AI.
