On 8 July 2026, Kazpatent, jointly with the Training Center of its Almaty Branch, conducted a training webinar for representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), domestic manufacturers, and aspiring entrepreneurs from the Abai Region.

Kazpatent continues its series of training seminars and online webinars aimed at enhancing the legal awareness of the business community and explaining the mechanisms for the legal protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights.

During the webinar, participants discussed current issues related to the legal protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights. They received practical information on the following topics:

• trademark registration and brand protection;
• registration of geographical indications and appellations of origin;
• registration of industrial designs;
• protection of businesses against unfair competition;
• the use of intellectual property as a tool for business development;
• practical aspects of filing applications and using the Qazpatent personal account.

Such training events contribute to improving the legal awareness of the business community, expanding knowledge of intellectual property protection mechanisms, and promoting the effective use of intellectual property in entrepreneurial activities.

Kazpatent will continue to organize similar training activities jointly with the Training Center to further raise awareness of intellectual property among business representatives.
