On 29-30 June, Qazpatent held a training webinar for the Atameken Centre for Women's Entrepreneurship Development on the topic: "Intellectual property as a company value asset".

The event was held as part of the IP Around Me campaign to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan's intellectual property system.

Qazpatent's experts covered the issues of legal protection and defense of copyright, patenting of IT-solutions as well as appellation of origin as a tool to develop local brands.

Today the national patent system of the Republic of Kazakhstan turns 30 years old!

The National Patent Office (Qazpatent) was established in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated June 23, 1992 No. 806 "On the National Patent Office under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Kazakhstan".

On 29-30 June 2022, a webinar on «Intellectual property as a company value asset» will be held for the Women's Entrepreneurship Development Centre of NCE Atameken.

On June 14, 2022, Vice-Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan Akerke Akhmetova met with the teaching staff of universities of the West Kazakhstan region, representatives of the branches of the Public Association "Union of Writers of Kazakhstan" and "Union of Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan" at the site of the " West Kazakhstan Agrarian-Technical University named after  Zhangir Khan " Non-profit JSC.

During the meeting, issues of intellectual property rights protection and the development of a network of technology and innovation support centers were discussed.

On 5 June, Qazpatent representatives held a master class on protecting intellectual property as part of the Caspian Startup competition, organised by the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Chemical and Biological Sciences in Aktau.

Speakers at the master class were Zamira Sraiyl - Head of Patent Documentation and Publication Department and Aruzhan Ulkhanova - Chief Expert of the IPR Center.

Today, June 4, 2022, a delegation of the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), headed by Secretary General Mr. Zhang Ming, visited Qazpatent.

The guests were welcomed by Vice Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan Akerke Akhmetova and director of Qazpatent Yerbol Ospanov.

Yerbol Ospanov introduced the delegation to the main activities of Qazpatent, the latest legislative changes in the patent system and quantitative indicators of the Office.

On June 2, 2022, a meeting of the Chamber was held under the chairmanship of the Speaker of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Maulen Ashimbayev, at which senators considered and adopted the law "On Amendments and Additions to Some Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on improving legislation in the fields of intellectual property and providing state-guaranteed legal assistance."

On 31 May Qazpatent held a training webinar for entrepreneurs and individuals with a business initiative of the Qolday Centre for Entrepreneurship on the topic: "Intellectual Property and Business".

The event was held as part of the IP Around Me campaign to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the intellectual property system of Kazakhstan.

On May 23, 2022, representatives of Qazpatent visited the capital's polytechnic college "Astana Polytechnic".
